Last week was incredibly busy for the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® employees attending the National Veterans Small Business Conference and Expo in Detroit. Drew Bullard, director of operations at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® in Pittsburgh and Air Force veteran, spoke at the event in a panel titled “Veterans Opportunities in Franchising”. Melanie Bergeron, former franchisee and current chair of the board at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, hosted a special International Franchise Association (IFA) event that educated other franchisors on the importance of employing veterans. We also had a handful of HR representatives ready answer career related questions for curious veterans. At the end of the week, we spoke with more than 100 veteran applicants interested in becoming managers, movers/drivers, and franchisees. Our focus on veterans is something has that been a priority of ours for a long time. We have multiple veteran franchisees and managers who have worked within our system for decades. We also offer interested veterans a 15% discount on purchasing a location.

We believe employing America’s armed services heroes is utilizing skilled, respected specialists who understand that achieving success in life takes commitment, personal integrity and self-discipline. These values align with our standards, and this alignment is why many veterans have built successful careers within our system.
