Ranked as one of life’s most stressful events, moving stinks. It actually sucks. Bad. But I was raised not to use the word “suck” … so I will stick with stinks, to make my mom proud.

In the midst of planning for the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® annual meeting, someone at the office decided it would be a great idea to do a mass office move while many staff are out of the office for the annual conference. I won’t name names, but there are a few people on my list.

Moving stinks

Weeks before the move we were provided with detailed instructions on preparing for the office reorganization, labels to mark our office contents and boxes. One of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®’s top recommendations for moving is to start packing early. I know this. I preach this. I talk the talk. Apparently, I do not walk the walk. This is evident by my helpful husband’s presence in my office today, 24 hours prior to deadline, packing, organizing and labeling my boxes.

Gratefully, I am only responsible for packing. Movers from our local TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchise will come next week to do the actual moving. And this is great news. Because I’m quite certain my husband’s helpfulness doesn’t extend into lugging boxes or moving filing cabinets down the stairs to the opposite side of the building.

Moving stinks. Moving from one building to another, one home to another or just down the office hallway – it stinks. There is nothing fun about moving. So you decide if you want to pack yourself or have your local TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® pack and move for you… moving will still stink, just not quite as bad.
